Dr. Troy Larson
Dr. Troy Larson can usually be found with a smile on his face, fully engaged, and making the most of life. Dr. Larson, a native of North Canton, graduated from Heritage Christian School in 1994 and then attended the University of Akron with multiple scholarships. After three years, he was accepted directly into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 2001. Spending his first couple of years in mixed animal practice, Dr. Larson returned to his hometown of Canton where he worked with a large variety of animals, including exotics.

In 2013, Dr. Larson purchased the Veterinary Wellness Center of North Canton. He has enjoyed expanding and developing the practice and is always looking ahead to future possibilities. Although he is not a specialist, Dr. Troy Larson loves to perform surgery. For the past 10 years, he has pursued continuing education and training in the area of orthopedics, which enables him to perform a number of orthopedic procedures for his own clients as well as many referred clients. He enjoys the challenge of these more involved procedures and looks to continue expanding his abilities.

Dr. Troy Larson is married to his amazing wife, Rachel, and they are currently raising their four boys: Isaac, Levi, Seth, and Elijah. These boys certainly know how to keep home life entertaining! Raising them is a privilege and a joy. Dr. Troy and Rachel are very involved in their church and in international mission’s work, traveling to Africa, Asia, and South America for over 25 years sharing the love of Jesus. The Larson family recently added new puppy Chase to the mix.

Dr. Mark Funk
Dr. Mark Funk is a 2002 graduate of Ross University. He has been practicing small animal medicine for over 13 years and continues to have a passion to provide the best possible care for his patients. He is a very talented, experienced and compassionate veterinarian. His wife, Dianna, is a veterinarian as well, and they enjoy spending time with their 2 boys and four-legged family members.

Yvonne, RVT
Yvonne has had a passion for animals for as long as she can remember. After her 3 children were all in school, she decided to continue her own education. Yvonne started volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center. She was hooked! She decided to go to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. After nearly 6 years of working with wildlife, Yvonne chose to switch gears and focus on our companion animals. She is so excited to be part of such an amazing, compassionate team!

Allison, Receptionist

Lisa C, Receptionist
Lisa is a full time receptionist and part time vet assistant. She is from Canal Fulton. Lisa used to work with Thoroughbred race horses as an exercise rider and groom. During her travels in the race horse industry, Lisa eventually settled in Hot Springs, AR and lived there for a few years. Lisa attended college and acquired a graphic design degree. While going to college, Lisa worked as a full time vet assistant.

Lisa enjoys hiking, fishing, horseback riding and spending time in her garden. She enjoys helping her friends from the racetrack find their retired racehorses new homes. She has one cat named Jobe.

Lisa Z, Receptionist

Paula, Office Manager
Paula is one of The Veterinary Wellness Center’s Office Managers. She has been in the Veterinary field for over eight years between time spent with rescue groups and the Veterinary Wellness Center. Paula and her husband Tom have 2 daughters Katie and Madison. Paula enjoys being outside soaking up the sun, playing the piano and making up songs to sing to everyone including our clients!!

Jenny, Office Manager
Jenny is one of The Veterinary Wellness Center’s Office Managers. Jenny wears many ‘hats’ at the Veterinary Wellness Center.She has been in the Veterinary field for the past 5 years. Prior to that she was active in the equine industry for 14 years, primarily harness racing, along with countless hours of equine rehab, sales and racehorse retirement retraining and adoptions.

Jenny currently resides in Bolivar with her husband Bob and her son Riley. After work she enjoys spending time with her family and her retired race horse Deadwood and pony Jasper. Jenny is also the author of a published children’s book “Don’t Forget the Reindeer”.
